There’s been a 17% jump in the number of swine flu cases reported in Canada over the past couple of days. The number of affected people now stands at 1,795 (as of 4th June, 2009). In the face of such alarming statistics, it’s only practical that you take as many simple precautions as you can to ensure you and your loved ones are safe. The easiest precaution involves the use of a flu mask.
Disease Control and Prevention boards also recommend the use of flu masks, especially in crowded areas and provinces that have reported a spike in the number of H1N1 cases, to prevent the spread of pandemic influenza. Of course, the efficacy of a flu mask depends on the type of mask chosen and the way it’s worn.
